Austrian opera singer (mezzo-soprano), born in 1995. She graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where her mentors were Florian Bösch and Claudia Visca. Laureate of the Casinos Austria Rising Star Award (2019), finalist of a competition in Osaka (Japan), and prize winner of the ÖJAB competition. In 2022, she received the Austrian Theatre Award for her performance as Zerlina at the Vienna State Opera under the baton of Philippe Jordan.
At the beginning of her studies, Nolz felt like a "bonsai being trimmed from all sides": "I was constantly told what I needed to be in order to succeed. You can grow in this direction, but not in that one. It was difficult at first to develop my own vision and simply get to know myself." Her savior was her teacher Claudia Visca, with whom she still works.
In 2020, Patricia made her debut at the Theater an der Wien as Cherubino in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" and immediately caught the critics' attention. That same year, she was accepted into the opera studio of the Vienna State Opera, where she spent two years.
From 2022 to 2024 – soloist at the Vienna State Opera. During this period, she performed leading roles: Cherubino ("The Marriage of Figaro"), Rosina ("The Barber of Seville"), Zerlina (the new production of "Don Giovanni" under Philippe Jordan), Siebel ("Faust"), Orlovsky ("Die Fledermaus"), Silla ("Palestrina"), Annio ("La Clemenza di Tito"), as well as the roles of Wellgunde in Wagner's "Das Rheingold" and "Götterdämmerung".
In 2024, she left the permanent ensemble and began a freelance career. That same year, she made her debut at the Edinburgh Festival (as Cherubino) and at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen as Rosina, as well as performing for the first time at the Salzburg Festival.
At the end of 2025, she made her debut as Hansel in "Hansel and Gretel" at the Opéra national du Rhin in Strasbourg. In March 2026, she made her debut as Octavian in Richard Strauss's "Der Rosenkavalier" under the baton of Christian Thielemann at the Berlin State Opera – the singer herself calls this role a "milestone" in her career.
